Good news for all those who started their business. Now, they can register themselves in GST portal for getting GST number. Even they donot have VAT number. Because your startup business is so big. So, better is to get registration in GST portal for filling your online tax return on time like filling income tax and eTDS return online.

1.  If your annual turnover is Rs. 10 Lakh Rupees for AP, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagalan, Sikkim, Tripura, HP and Uttarakhand and

2. Rest of state is Rs. 20 Lakh. Suppose, you have the business of furniture selling and your annual sale is Rs. 23 Lakh in Punjab. if you did not get provisional GST because you were not VAT number. Now you must register under GST.

Following are is Simple Steps and Procedure 


1st Step : Go to GST Portal

Just go to https://reg.gst.gov.in/registration for registration.


2nd Step : Fill the Form GST REG-01 ( Part - A) 


In this form, provide your PAN, email id, mobile no. Your PAN is ok or not, it will be checked by portal. After verification, you will get verification email in your email. You have to verify it and you also verify your mobile by one time password.

3rd Step : Fill the Form GST REG -01 ( Part - B) 

Now, you have to fill its second part by adding your required documents and in this, you have to show your GST REG - 01 ( Part - A) application reference no. which you will get in your mobile or email when you have submitted (Part - A ) form.

1. PAN Card
2. Your Photograph
3. Your business constitution like partnership deed, registration certificate or constitution proof.
4. Proof of place of business by showing your electricity bill photocopy or property tax receipt or municipal khata copy. It it is on retn, give copy of rent or lease agreement including the copy of electricity bill of owner.
5. First page of copy of bank passbook or bank statement.
6. Upload authorisation signature and copy of resolution of managing committee.
7. Contact No.

4th Step : Fill the Form GST REG -03 and Fill the Form GST REG -04

It is not necessary. But, if govt. need more information, you have to fill.


Otherwise, you will get the certificate of registration of GST under Form GST REG -06 or you will get information of rejection through Form GST REG -05
